Windows pinball space cadet8/8/2023 ![]() The team set to work, and we had 64-bit Windows running on physical Alpha AXP hardware long before we had any physical Itanium hardware. ![]() ![]() The hard part was going from 32-bit to 64-bit. Once you got a 64-bit version of Windows working for the Alpha AXP, it should be a comparatively small amount of additional work to port it to Itanium. The assumption was somewhat validated by experience: The 32-bit Windows code base had been ported to many 32-bit processors, with relatively few architecture-specific issues. The assumption is that most of the effort in porting Windows to the Itanium is in the 32-bit to 64-bit transition, and not in dealing with quirks of the specific 64-bit processor you are porting to. But the Alpha AXP did have the advantage of existing in physical form, so the system could finish booting before the heat death of the universe. Now, 64-bit Windows on the Alpha AXP would never ship. Solution: Port the Alpha AXP version of 32-bit Windows to 64-bit Windows. It’s just that 32-bit Windows used only the 32-bit subset. The Alpha AXP is internally a 64-bit processor.
Stella rosa moscato wine8/8/2023 ![]() There are two main methods to make rosé sparkling wine. Most other regions where sparkling wine is produced, and where red grape varieties also grow, also make a rosé version. Rosé Champagnes (i.e., those coming from the Champagne region of France) are made in the same basic way as regular Champagne, from the same grapes and the same region. Rosé sparkling wines like Champagne, Prosecco, Cava, and others make a fun and festive alternative to regular bubbles-but don’t snub these as not as important as their clear counterparts. What are the different types of sparkling rosé wine? Key Piedmont wine varieties include Arneis, Cortese, Timorasso, Erbaluce and the sweet, charming Muscat, responsible for the brilliantly recognizable, Moscato d'Asti. ![]() White wines, while less ubiquitous here, should not be missed. Dolcetto, Piedmont’s other important red grape, is usually ready within a couple of years of release. ![]() Across the Tanaro River, the Roero region, and farther north, the regions of Gattinara and Ghemme, also produce excellent quality Nebbiolo.Įasy-going Barbera is the most planted grape in Piedmont, beloved for its trademark high acidity, low tannin and juicy red fruit. Barbaresco tends to be more elegant in style while Barolo is more powerful. Nebbiolo wines, despite their pale hue, pack a pleasing punch of flavor and structure the best examples can require about a decade’s wait before they become approachable. This grape is responsible for the exalted Piedmont wines of Barbaresco and Barolo, known for their ageability, firm tannins and hallmark aromas of tar and roses. Harvest of Nebbiolo is last among Piedmont's wine varieties, occurring sometime in October. In fact, Nebbiolo is named exactly for the arrival of this pre-harvest fog (called “nebbia” in Italian), which prolongs cluster hang time and allows full phenolic balance and ripeness. The reliable autumnal fog provides a cooling effect, especially beneficial for Nebbiolo, Piedmont’s most prestigious variety. Piedmont has a continental climate with hot, humid summers leading to cold winters and precipitation year-round. Vineyards cover a great majority of the land area-especially in Barolo-with the most prized sites at the top hilltops or on south-facing slopes where sunlight exposure is maximized. Set upon a backdrop of the visually stunning Alps, the enchanting and rolling hills of Piedmont are the source of some of the country’s longest-lived and most sought-after red wines. Stella Rosa is more than just a refreshing wine it’s a lifestyle. The brand is always growing, learning, and striving to satisfy its loyalists’ needs while pushing the level of sophistication to also appeal to dry wine aficionados looking for something a little different. ![]() Stella Rosa Wines have experienced rapid phenomenal success over the years. The Riboli family took this unique opportunity to create a new semi-sweet, semi-sparkling wine style, which today, they are a leader of. Whatever color you decide works for your situation, Mr. Sky blue does not have a common meaning, but it is a vibrant color that could be used for parties, corporate events, and would be attractive at a baby shower. Safety green is a color that is very visible to the human eye. Even though this color is not specifically designated by OSHA as a safety color, these traffic cones match the safety vest that many highway and construction workers wear. These are also called lime green, and they are a cross between yellow and green. Again, we make chain cone connectors and plastic chain to exactly match the pink traffic cones. Most people immediately recognize safety pink as the global designated color of the breast cancer walks. These do not carry any OSHA designation, but over years of usage, the colors do carry a special meaning. Space-Vision’s singular strength was that it was an easy system for theater-owners to implement.
